Allie Larkin

Crowned as the international bestselling author, Allie Larkin came into limelight because of her two novels, ‘Stay’ and ‘Why Can’t I Be You’. Allie is a voracious reader. When she was young, Allie read the books written by Willa Cather, John Steinbeck and Pat Conroy. She had the habit of listening to ‘The Cure’ constantly and had weird and wonderful friends.

While in college, Allie was diagnosed with ADD and discontinued her education. She later joined College in the year 2000. Allie was skilled in writing right from her college days. She has vowed her professors by her writing skills. Her all time favourite books were, Song of the Lark, The Bean Trees, Of Mice and Men, Little Women and The Ordinary Princess.

Although Allie Larkin did various odd jobs, she remained as a member of a writing group. Allie had stopped writing many times but since it’s her passion, she was unable to put an end to it. Allie married Jeremy Larkin whom she met at a picnic and he remains to be the love of her life.

Allie Larkin’s debut novel, ‘Stay’ which got released on Jun 10, 2010 created great hype. The Publishers Weekly rightly quoted it as a funny and touching story about love, loss and dog ownership. Her second novel, ‘Why Can’t I Be With You’ was another great hit.

Allie Larkin currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband Jeremy, their German Shepherd Stella and a three-legged cat. Through her website, ‘The’, she helps readers take simple steps towards greenery.
