Beth Flynn is an American author who was raised in Fort Lauderdale in Southern Florida. She is known for her dark romance novels. Flynn is a survivor of breast cancer and is an active member of the Coalition of Positive Authors.
Flynn’s most well-known novel is Nine Minutes. It is set in the 1970s and is the story of a 15 year old girls who is abducted by a member of a motorcycle gang. Flynn has used her own experience as inspiration for this title. She herself grew up in South Florida, where the story is set and she is a keen motorcyclist and loves riding on the back of her husband’s Harley Davidson. Flynn published the story using an independent publishing platform in 2014. It is the first book in a trilogy of the same name. The second novel in the series, Out of Time, was published in July 2015. The third novel is due for release in 2016.
Flynn is known for leaving her readers with huge cliff-hangers at the end of her novels, adding to the overall suspense and dark tone of the books.
Beth Flynn and Jim, her husband of more than 30 years, have lived in Sapphire in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains for nearly two decades. Together they own and run a private construction company. They have two daughters and two dogs. When she isn’t writing her novels or working for the construction company, Flynn is an avid reader, gardener and church-goer.
