Heidi McLaughlin: Biography
Heidi McLaughlin is an American contemporary romance author whose works have appeared on both New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists. She was born in Portland, Oregon and was raised in the Pacific Northwest.
She has now written more than 20 different romance novels, all published over the course of a few short years. Several of these works are published by Bandit Publishing, a boutique publishing company owned by the author Jillian Dodd.
McLaughlin is perhaps best known for her novel entitled Forever My Girl. It follows the story of a high school musician who becomes an international rock star almost by accident. His plan had always been to lead a normal, unassuming life and to marry his high school sweetheart. However, his plans go awry when his music becomes so successful, and he decides to leave home and tour the world. 10 years later, he comes back home, hoping that the girl he left behind will still be waiting for him. The film rights for Forever My Girl were purchased by a production company and the movie is currently in pre-production.
Heidi McLaughlin now lives in Vermont with her husband, two daughters and three dogs. She spends most of her free time writing her many romance stories, but she is also a basketball mom and therefore sends a lot of time courtside watching her two daughters play. She goes on book tours regularly and often speaks at events across the whole of the United States.
