Jennifer Mathieu

Jennifer Matheiu is an American young adult writer and novelist. Matheiu belongs to East Coast by Origin and currently lives in Texas with her family. While her choice for becoming a Young adult writer is driven from her interests in sitcoms like The Golden Girls, it is her understanding and respect for teenagers as well-learnt and understanding beings that she started writing stories based on their lives and experiences.

It is evident through her professional and career details that they greatly helped her in establishing and enhancing her writing skills. Jennifer Matheiu is a practicing English Teacher who has also worked as a journalist. These jobs gave her the opportunity to observe students, their complexes, their challenges and contemporary issues faced by teenagers and young adults within the society. Her keen observation and respect for contemporary young adult complications are well reflected in her books.

At the moment, two of her books are published that received great appreciation. Her first book was Devoted that was the story of a devoted protagonist named Rachel Walker. The book was reviewed and critically appreciated by Kirkus. He second book was The Truth About Alice. This book was also critically appreciated and enlisted by Amazon as the Editor’s pick of the year in Young Adult Category. Later she also received the 2015 Children’s Book Choice Teen Choice Debut Author title.
