Kresley Cole

Kresley Cole is an American novelist who is the number one New York Times bestselling author of novels in the paranormal romance genre. She is best known for her Immortals After Dark Series, in which there are currently 16 titles. This series follows characters who belong to an order of people who exist secretly alongside mortal humans, but who are themselves immortal.

She has been given Romance Writers of America awards for three of her novels and has also been inducted into the Romance Writers of America Hall of Fame. She was only the 14th writer to be given this honour. Her novels have been translated into more than 20 different languages.

Kresley Cole has said in interviews that she regards Stephen King as the biggest influence on her as a writer. She was extremely athletic in school and college and never considered that she would one day become an extremely successful author. She wasn’t interested in reading until she picked up one of his books and all of a sudden she couldn’t stop. She says that if it weren’t for her love of reading, she would never have wanted to write. She has also travelled the world and loves learning about foreign cultures. She uses these experiences as inspiration and enrichment for her writing.

Kresley Cole and her family currently reside in Florida with their large collection of animals. She is still writing and constantly adding to her lengthening list of published works.
