Lily King

Lily King is an acclaimed author from Massachusetts who has received numerous awards for her works. With a strong educational background, Lily uses her talent to capture the pulse of her fan readers. Lily graduated in English Literature from University of North Carolina and mastered in Creative Writing from Syracuse University. Lily initially worked in schools and universities teaching English and Creative Writing.

All novels written by Lily have won enormous awards and recognitions. ‘The Pleasing Hour’ was the first novel written by Lily and it won the Barnes and Noble Discover Award. The novel was also a New York Times Notable Book, an alternate for the PEN/Hemingway Award.

The second novel, ‘The English Teacher’ was a Publishers Weekly Top Ten Book of the Year, a Chicago Tribune Best Book of the Year and the Winner of the Maine Fiction Award. Lily’s third novel, ‘Father of the Rain’ was also a huge hit. It won the New York Times Editors Choice, a Publishers Weekly Best Novel of the Year and it backed both the New England Book Award for Fiction and the Maine Fiction Award.

‘Euphoria’ was the latest novel published by Lily in Jun 2014. The novel’s success made it as Amazon Book of the Month, on the Indie Next List and hitting numerous readers from The Boston Globe to O Magazine and USA Today.

Lily has not only written novels; her short fictions have appeared in literary magazines as well as in several anthologies. Highly talented Lily is the recipient of a MacDowell Fellowship and a Whiting Writer’s Award.
