Rainbow Rowell: Biography

Rainbow Rowell was born on 24th February, 1973. She currently lives with her husband and two sons in Omaha, Nebraska. Being an American origin, she is known for her contemporary novels intended for young adult audiences. She received critical appreciation for two of her recent novels that were published in 2013 by the titles of 'Eleanor & Park' and Fangirl. Later she wrote three more novels that are titled as: Attachments, Fangirl, Landline, My True Love Gave to Me: Twelve Holiday Stories (spin off of the novel was Midnights, a Short Story), and Carry On.
Rowell gained her literary experience and exposure when she started working as a columnist and copywriter at the Omaha World Herald in 1995. She polished her writing skills at the same position till 2012. After quitting this job, she went on to publish her first novel that was critically received and recognized. Her second novel followed it immediately with same critical appreciation. Till now she has written 5 books that were well received.
First two novels by Rowell were also enlisted by the New York Times as best adult fictions. Later Eleanor & Park were also picked and enlisted by Amazon and Goodreads. Currently, Rowell is hired by DreamWorks to write screenplay for a movie that is an adaptation of her novel.
