Rebecca Raisin: Biography
Rebecca Raisin is an author of fiction for adults. Although she has had short stories published in various different anthologies and magazines, she is most well known for her adult romance novels.
Raisin has always said that she tries to write friendly and approachable characters who you could imagine talking to and being friends with in real life. She writes about people who believe in the idea of true love and who never give up on a chance at romance and happiness.
Raisin’s first novel, Christmas at the Gingerbread Café, was published by Mills & Boon in November 2013. It was the first of a flurry of publications, as Raisin released a dozen more titles over the following 2 and a half years. Christmas at the Gingerbread Café tells the story of a woman called Lily who owns a café in Ashford Connecticut. She is preparing to spend Christmas alone when a new bakery opens across the road from her café. The owner has all of the women in town falling over his feet, but Lily is determined that his arrival will not affect her business. As time goes on, their relationship develops into something more than just rival business owners. Christmas at the Gingerbread Café was shortlisted for the RWA Ella Award in 2014. Raisin has since published 2 more books in the same series.
Rebecca Raisin is an avid reader and it was her passion for reading books which drove her to want to write them. She lives with her two children and her dog.
