Sherrilyn Kenyon: Biography
Sherrilyn Kenyon in an American author of bestselling urban fantasy novels. She is most well-known for her Dark Hunter series of novels featuring a set of characters who are immortal warriors in a world of mythology and Greek Gods. She was born in Columbus, Georgia and is extremely proud to be of mixed Cherokee heritage. She has a huge following of very devoted fans who travel the world to see her speak in different countries and many of them use images and quotes from her books as inspiration for tattoos.
Kenyon has said in interviews that there aren’t any writers that she keeps in mind when writing her own novels. She has said that there is no one that she tries to mimic in style and that she doesn’t remember reading a book when she was younger which inspired her to write her own. Instead, she says that her biggest influence has been philosophers and their writings. She says that each of the characters in her books is a literary experiment in conflicting philosophies and psychologies. All of her books are punctuated with mythological references so the Greek myths and tragedies must also have made a huge impact on Kenyon as an author.
Sherrilyn Kenyon is a prolific writer, having penned more than 75 novels which have all appeared on the New York Times bestselling list. There are currently tens of millions of her novels, manga series and graphic novels in print in more than 100 different countries.
She lives with her husband, their three sons and a whole host of pets.
