She has now written more than 30 books which have been translated into more than 30 languages worldwide. She has been extremely successful, thirteen of her books in succession were New York Times bestsellers. Five of these thirteen were published within a 20-month span.
Hoag takes her writing very seriously, and is known for conducting thorough research before putting pen to paper. She has even taken courses in private investigation and has a license to carry a concealed weapon, although she has stated that she never does. She only took the course as part of her research for one of her novels.

She competed at top level in the field of dressage, but had to give up after she broke her back in 5 places after a fall. Tami Hoag lives in Palm Beach County, Florida and divides her time between writing her bestselling thrillers and her equestrian pursuits. Although she no longer competes, she still owns horses and often goes for a ride to tackle moments of writers’ block. She spends her spare time studying psychology and training in Mixed Martial Arts.
